ROME:
PAUL AND THE UNDERGROUND CHURCH!

At Rome VBS, kids will experience incredible Bible-learning experiences. They will create marketplace crafts, explore the underground church, celebrate with music, learn about mission opportunities, and participate in games. All Bible School activities help their faith flow into real life as kids discover the power of God’s love and how to see evidence of His love in their everyday life. Each evening your child will leave VBS looking for ways God is shining His light and love on them (God Sightings) and looking for ways they can share God’s light and love with others.

Rome VBS Service & Missions Challenge

This summer, Alex & Hayden Johnson will be traveling to Haiti where they will be the hands and feet of Jesus. They wil be serving in some of the poorest neighborhoods in the world, bringing God’s grace and love to others. Our hope is the people of Haiti will feel the love of God through the girls and this mission trip.

Winfield UMC is collecting school supplies to pack in backpacks for kids in need in Tuscarawas County. VBS kids are encouraged to bring in school supplies for the backpacks. Our hope is that all children will walk into their classroom this year feeling confident and ready for the school year. The last night of VBS, these supplies will be counted and the winning group will get to throw pies at “someone”!

Winfield JAM Kids and Revolution Youth will be packing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes in the fall. These shoeboxes filled with gifts and the good news of Jesus Christ are delivered to children in need all over the world. VBS kids are encouraged to bring in empty shoeboxes and/or small toys to be used for this project. Our hope is that all kids will know the love of Jesus Christ. The last night of VBS, these supplies will be counted and the winning group will get to throw pies at “someone”!

Coin collections will take place daily. Money will be placed in buckets by group. Coins that are placed in the buckets are added up (good). However, paper money that is placed in the buckets will be deducted from the coin total (bad). Therefore, you want to be sure to put coins in your group’s bucket and paper moeny in other buckets. Each night, bucket mony will be counted and the winning group will get to throw pies at “soemone” at the end of VBS!

John 13:34-35: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
