This is the perfect series to follow RESET! After we have RESET our lives – we will be more than willing to STAND for our FAITH! It is time that Christians rise up in powerful numbers and not worry so much about being politically correct, but Biblically correct. In today’s political arena, you are hearing over and over again to stand up for what you believe. Jesus our Commander and Chief is asking His Christians to stand OUT! Over the next five weeks you will learn to:
- Stand Out
- Stand Up
- Stand Strong
- Stand in Faith
- Stand Firm in the Fire
We have just a little over a month to get seriously on our knees and pray and not lose heart as we come to electing a new president. I suggest that you look at how serious the vote will be as it pertains to the Supreme Court judges. Whoever elects a new judge or judges, realize they will be judges for a very long time and they have the potential to change our culture.
Let this Scripture reach down deep into our souls. May it build up our faith – and yet, may we truly review Jesus’ question in verse 8:
Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart, 2 saying, “In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man. 3 There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me legal protection from my opponent.’ 4 For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect man, 5 yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.’” 6 And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge *said; 7 now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? 8 I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”
Will Jesus find faith in you? Will He see that you are standing strong in the faith by being on your knees and pleading for justice and peace in this world and yes, in your families, communities, schools, and lives?
